International Restaurant Beef Bar Opens with Custom Wood 1 SOUND

Anthem Productions fulfills a sophisticated audio integration utilizing 1 SOUND’s Custom Shop. Beefbar, an international restaurant with locations in cities such as Tokyo and Paris amongst others was created 20 years ago and just opened its first US location in New York City.

In keeping with the swanky NYC steakhouse tradition, the 6,000-square-foot restaurant has fittings that match the "timeless elegance" and Art Deco vibes of The Powell Building, in which the restaurant is set. The opulent dining room features tall arched windows, antique mirrors, velvet bench seats and bronze-alabaster sconces. For the restaurant and its designers, it was important to keep attention to detail in the audio as well.

Choosing 1 SOUND’s Cannon Coaxial loudspeakers for the main speakers in this venue, Anthem was able to further please the designers by offering 1 SOUND customized speakers to match the wood fittings in the space. 1 SOUND made all the loudspeakers in a mahogany finish with beige fabric grilles within a week’s turnaround time. In the main open dining space, Cannon C8i’s were mounted to the using C-Clamps with SUB310s and FSUB45s for distributed bass. In the private dining room as well as smaller spaces in the venue Cannon C6i’s were deployed. The Cannon Series has high fidelity audio quality with high SPL for its compact size, resulting in the background music having high sonic intelligibility where guests’ conversations are not disrupted.
