Cathedrale Las Vegas by Tao Group Installs Custom 1 SOUND
Following the opening of Tao Group’s Stanton Social Prime (case study here) that opened in Caesars Palace, National Technology Associates continued utilizing custom 1 SOUND loudspeakers for their next restaurant endeavor in the neighboring Las Vegas Aria Resort and Casino.
Cathedrale, a 266-seat restaurant, is located in the Aria Resort and designed by Rockwell Group. NTA worked with 1 SOUND and their Custom Shop to outfit this restaurant’s installed audio system to fit Tao Group’s energetic and premium atmosphere.
NTA pleased the designers by ordering 1 SOUND loudspeakers with the paint colors selected by Rockwell Group. They installed Cannon C5i’s and C6i’s throughout the restaurant with matching painted C-Clamps. LCC44s were mounted near the bar for a bit more SPL aimed there. For distributed bass, FSUB45s were hidden under booths and banquets throughout the restaurant along with a few SUB12’s where a bit more energy was needed.
“It’s a real anticipatory moment when you round the corner and see the beauty of that first room,” says Jason Strauss, co-CEO of Tao Group Hospitality. “We want to control the environment, the lighting, the sound and take the guests into an immersive experience,” Strauss says. “When you’re open to the casino floor, you compromise a lot of that.”
“We were the first — 18 years ago with Tao — to introduce the nightclub-restaurant connection and have them coexist and symbiotically elevate each other,” he says. “This really allows us at Aria to finally own the guest experience from dinner into nightlife.
